About MHT CET 2026 Exam

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture.

Application Form

– Application Start Date: December 2025 (4th week)
– Application End Date: February 2026 (2nd week)
– Late Fee Application Window: February 16-22, 2026
– Application Fee: INR 800 for General/ J&K Migrants/ Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) category candidates, INR 600 for ST/ SC/ OBC/ PWD/ SBC/ NT/ EWS candidates

Syllabus

The MHT CET syllabus is based on the Maharashtra State Board syllabus with 20% weightage from Class 11 and 80% from Class 12. It includes¹ ²:
– PCM Group: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
– PCB Group: Physics, Chemistry, Biology

Exam Date

– PCB Group: April 8-16, 2026 (excluding April 9 & 13)
– PCM Group: April 18-26, 2026 (excluding April 23)

Admit Card

– Admit Card Release Date: April 2026 (2nd week)
– Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website using their login credentials.

Exam Centre

The exam will be conducted at various centers across Maharashtra and outside the state.

Exam Pattern

– Exam Mode: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT)
– Duration: 3 hours
– Number of Questions: 150 (PCM group), 200 (PCB group)
– Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; 2 marks for each correct answer in Mathematics; no negative marking

Result

– Result Declaration Date: June 2026 (1st week)
– Candidates can check their scores online using their application number and password.

Cut Off

– Expected Cutoff Marks: Vary by category, with General/ GOPENS around 75 marks, OBC around 70 marks, SC around 55 marks, ST around 45 marks, EWS around 65 marks, and PWD (GOPENS) around 35 marks.
